Visitor Policy
The North Carolina Food Innovation Lab (NCFIL) is a cGMP food processing facility; therefore, the following must be observed:
- ALL non-NCFIL employees, including NC State employees and contractors, must sign-in the logbook at the front desk.
- Visitors must keep visitor badges on them at all times. If a visitor badge is not provided, visitors must be escorted by a NCFIL employee at all times.
- Do not enter the production area unless guided by a NCFIL employee.
- Flat, closed-toed shoes and long pants are required to enter the pilot plant for visitors’ safety.
- Hairnets must be worn in all production and test kitchen areas. Beard nets must be worn by an individual that has any amount of facial hair. Hats may only be worn in place of hairnets if an individual has a shaved or bald head.
- Jewelry is prohibited in the pilot plant and product development test kitchen area.
- No food, drink or tobacco use is allowed in the production area.
- No glass, other than packaging materials, is allowed in the production area.
- Please limit the use of perfume and cologne when visiting our facility.
Refusal to adhere to the NCFIL Visitor Policy can result in immediate removal from the facility and loss of access to the facility in the future.
