Elise Packer

Bio
Elise Packer is a food scientist, research associate and avid sustainability advocate responsible for managing client projects at NCFIL and connecting the Bezos Center for Sustainable Proteins with NCFIL’s capabilities. She manages projects for NCFIL clients who are looking to safely and efficiently develop and produce food products such as confectionary, beverages, bars and other plant-based goodies. Through the Bezos Center at NC State she manages projects involving protein extraction, protein functionality testing and utilizing NCFIL equipment (such as the extruder and spray dryer) to assist with plant-based protein research. Elise incorporates her experience with sustainability research into these projects striving to make a positive impact on the future of food.
